This is a concept of an earth rift colossus for the "RIFT Create a Colossus Contest" by Jennifer H. Williamson.

The title is "Consort of Laethys". The story behind this is that the dragon goddess Laethys chose the most devout in her court to ascend and gain all of the riches and power of the earth. She shaped the chosen consort in her ideal image of wealth so that no one else can have it.

It is a dragon that is covered in cave formations, stone scales, and crystal formations. Any group of adventures who is brave enough to pry the treasures off of its rocky hide will find themselves in for a tough fight. Its attacks are vicious, ranging from close-range attacks of the claws to massive sandstorms from it's cavernous mouth. The signature attack is where it curls into a ball, then rolls towards hapless adventurers like a spiny boulder.
